Dr. Ash B. Diwan
Dr. Ash B. Diwan grew up in the Northern Virginia area where he attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Alexandria, VA. He did his undergraduate studies at the College of William and Mary where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. Subsequently he attended the Medical College of Virginia where he received a Masters in Physiology and Biophysics and then went on to earn his medical degree at the Eastern Virginia Medical School. Dr. Diwan did his residency at George Washington University and has been with Piedmont Family Medicine since 2006. He is married with an 8 year old son and 6 year old daughter. Dr. Diwan's special interests include treatment of acute and chronic pain including the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound for steroid and synthetic cartilage injections for arthritic joints. Additionally he has a special certification in Addiction medicine and is one of the few physicians in the area that treat the epidemic of opiate dependence/addiction. Dr. Diwan has a special interest in diabetes, hypertension, wt management/nutritional counseling and cosmetic dermatological procedures. Dr. Ash B. Diwan is Board Certified in Family Practice.
