Dr. Gregory S. Golub

Dr. Gregory Golub graduated Magna Cum Laude from Fairfield University in 1991 with a degree in accounting.  After two years as an Auditor for a public accounting firm, he had a change of heart and went back to undergraduate school for two years to prepare for medical school.  He subsequently entered Georgetown University in 1995 and graduated Cum Laude in 1999 and was awarded the Nicolas Pisacano Scholarship award for excellence in Family medicine.

He continued his training at Georgetown University by completing their Family Medicine residency at Providence Hospital in 2002 and was recognized for his excellence when voted resident teacher of the year.  As part of his residency he also trained under the chief of Gastroenterology at Providence Hospital and received certification in colonoscopy for which he has been performing for over 15 years.

Since joining Piedmont Family Practice in 2002, he has been active in the community.  He volunteers regularly at the Fauquier Free Clinic.  He has served on the Advisory Board for United Healthcare / Mamsi and has been a member at large for the Fauquier Hospital Medical executive committee.

In addition to seeing patients in the office, he attends to patients at the Fauquier Health Rehabilitaiton Center and was been awarded their Plane tree Award for compassionate care the last three years in a row.

Dr. Golub currently lives in Gainesville Virginia with his wife and two daughters.  He enjoys golf, exercise and triathlon.  He completed his first Ironman triathlon in Arizona in November 2015.
