Kathy Green, FNP-C
Kathy Green is a Family Nurse Practitioner board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Born and raised in Virginia, Kathy obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Longwood University in 1987. She soon realized her real passion was caring for people rather than working in a lab. Kathy went back to college for another two years to obtain her nursing degree. She later earned a Master’s Degree in Nursing Education from George Mason University and a post-graduate certificate in Family Nurse Practitioner from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine.
Kathy has cared for patients of all age groups in a variety of acute care settings for over 25 years. Prior to joining Piedmont Family Practice, Kathy worked for 15 years as a Clinical Nursing Supervisor at Novant Health UVA Prince William Medical Center. Kathy believes in delivering individualized comprehensive health care focusing on disease prevention, patient empowerment, and lifelong learning.
In her free time, Kathy enjoys being physically active, reading, and spending time with her family.
